The international project Music Without Borders encompasses a wide dose of musical tolerance that transcends not only the borders of countries and continents, but also the imaginary boundaries of musical styles, age, religion… For the first time in Slovakia, we will welcome the world-famous Syrian clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, winner of the 2017 Grammy Award and the 2019 OPUS Klassik Award, a member of the international Silkroad Ensemble from Boston, founded by the legendary cellist Yo-Yo Ma. The program will also feature the phenomenal 13-year-old Slovak violinist of international renown, Teo Gertler, performing for the first time Carmen Fantasy by Oscar-winning American film music composer Franz Waxman.
The concert was held within the framework of the Fatra House of Arts renovation project “Let’s turn over a new leaf”.
